Change to School buses servicing the Market Drive

bus stop at Caboolture South

�� Service Change – Market Drive Bus Stop (Afternoon School Services)

Due to increased passenger numbers on the 7207pm service, a permanent adjustment is being made to improve safety and capacity for students travelling to the Market Drive bus stop.

�� Effective Monday 27 April

Students travelling to the Market Drive stop will now use the 7242pm service as the primary bus for this location. The 7207pm and 7242pm services will continue to meet at the Caboolture Primary stop to allow safe transfers where required.

School-specific arrangements

Caboolture High
Students for Market Drive will now catch the 7242 service directly from school.
St Columban’s College
Catch the 7207 from school, then transfer to the 7242 at Caboolture Primary.
Caboolture East State School
Catch the 7207 from school, then transfer to the 7242 at Caboolture Primary.
St Peter’s Catholic Primary School
Continue catching the 7242 directly from school.
✅ No transfer required.
Caboolture State School (Primary)
Students will now catch the 7242 directly from school.

This change ensures students are travelling on the correct service while maintaining safe and reliable transport to Market Drive.

A small timing change has been made to both services in line with this change and current run timings.

2026 Bus Pass Changes

Students whose details have not changed (i.e. still attending same school and living at the same address) do not need to reapply for a bus pass, their pass will be processed as follows:

Students who are eligible for a bus pass based on distance eligibility under the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) School Travel Assistance Scheme will receive their bus pass via post prior to the commencement of the 2026 school year.
Students who are eligible based on the parent / guardian holding a government issued Pension, Health Care or Concession card under DTMR’s Safety Net Scheme can expect their passes to be posted once Caboolture Bus Lines receives notification from the DTMR School Transport office that the student is still eligible for a bus pass in 2025.

If the student is not eligible for a bus pass in 2026 the DTMR School Transport office will notify parents / guardians directly.

Bus Pass Applications

If your child has or will be changing schools or address in 2026 you are required to complete a new application form to determine if they are still eligible for a bus pass. Please note that you will need to complete and submit the application as soon as possible as the DTMR School Transport office can take up to 4 weeks to process your application during this busy period. Application forms can be requested from our office or completed online.

Bus Pass Eligibility Confirmations

Please note we have been advised that any students who are waiting on the DTMR School Transport office to confirm their eligibility will only be permitted to travel on the school bus with their 2025 bus pass if their 2026 bus pass has yet to arrive, until Friday 6th March 2026.

School run changes for Term 2 - 7203 service on Fridays

Changes commence Friday 2nd May, 2025

This change has been made to address high loadings on the Friday 7203pm early service.

The 7203pm Friday service that departs Tullawong High at the earlier time of 1.00pm will no longer service the first part of the route which includes Ulster Drv, Kendall Rd, Cisticola Ct, Plover St loop, instead this service will now depart Tullawong High on a Friday and head directly along Bellmere Rd to Piggot Rd and then resume the normal route and drop offs from Daintree St onwards, drop off times have changed accordingly.

Any students that normally get off 7203pm Friday run in Ulster Drv, Kendall Rd, Cisticola Ct, Plover St loop will need to catch the new 7280pm Friday service which will also be scheduled to depart Tullawong High at the earlier time of 1.00pm. This new service will also stop at Bellmere Store (cnr Piggot Rd and Bellmere Rd) A copy of the updated run sheet for 7203pm Friday early service and the new 7280pm Friday early service can be found on the next page, changes have been highlighted / shaded in green to make them easy to identify.

Service update for Tuesday 11th March 2025

Normal school services will be operating to all open schools. Please check school closures at https://closures.qld.edu.au/schools.html

Urban services are expected to operate as normal depending on individual route access.

Services running to the normal timetable are 640, 641, 642, 643, 644, 651, 653, 654, 655, 656, 657

The 652 services have been suspended since 10:30 on Monday 10th March due to Beachmere Road being closed. We will continue to monitor this situation and provide advice when available.

Normal school bus timetables will be operating for all open schools on Monday 10th March 2025. It is critical that parents, guardians and students check with their schools to ensure they are open. Every single school/early education facility by 5pm today will either have a closed or open status next to it, where you can check via the Emergency Education Facility Closures Dashboard.

Normal Sunday Timetable resuming on Sunday 9th March 2025

CBL SERVICE UPDATE

All CBL urban services will be resuming normal Sunday timetable on Sunday 9th March across the CBL network from Bribie Island to Caboolture, through Bellmere to Morayfield. Thanks to our amazing driving team for making themselves available to connect our local community.

Normal school services are expected to resume on Monday 10th March.

CBL Launches Application with Moreton Bay City Council for Queensland's Only Bus Safety Education Facility for School Children

Following on from the success of Caboolture Bus Lines’ award-winning Bus-it-safe program, CBL is proud to announce their application to town planning, for Queensland’s first and only dedicated Bus Safety Education Facility, specially designed for school children. This pioneering initiative underscores CBL’s commitment to enhancing the safety and wellbeing of young commuters, ensuring they are well-equipped to travel safely and confidently.

Believed to be the only one of its kind in Australia this facility would provide an engaging, interactive environment where children can learn essential bus safety skills.

The proposal features real-life simulations, with a street frontage bus stop where the bus will drop off and pick up, hands-on activities, and educational sessions in a permanently located bus “classroom”.

Caboolture Bus Lines would deliver the program to schools in the Moreton Bay Region, free of charge, as part of this community initiative. The program will be tailored to various age groups, fostering lifelong habits that promote safe bus travel.

As a leading provider of public transport services and one of the largest school bus operators in the region, we recognise the importance of educating our youngest passengers on how to navigate bus travel safely. From Monday, 24 February 2025 onwards, any students who have not yet received their 2025 bus pass will be required to pay a full fare using a valid go card for each trip as per the TransLink fare policy.
